We spent our Christmas Eve and Christmas on the road through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Nevada. We were on our way to Troys brothers house.  We were headed to Vegas...
Troy got the van loaded and we hit the road.  The van was packed with my manual wheelchair, power chair and shower chair along with about 20 bags.  Plus we had a big ass ramp for my chair and we had to leave some room for Dobby.  It was two days of 12 continuous hours of driving.  My job was to keep Troy company to stay awake and I accidentally fell asleep for a couple hrs.  Then we stopped when he couldnt drive any more.  But we made it to our half way point.
We got to his brothers house about 8ish.  I finally got to meet his brother and his girlfriend, Kendra. They were both very nice and even gave Troy and I our own room. We went out to eat the next day then Kendra went to pick up the kids.  When she got back she suprised Troy with his daughter.  We didnt plan on seeing her for a few days so that was cool and made Troys day.
We went to a casino for Monday Night Football, had some drinks then went and played a few slots.  Adam and Kendra were lucky but Troy and I sucked and didnt win a thing.  But it was still fun. It was a good time.
We spent our down time at the house and chilled.  I was literally chilled.  I froze at the house..lol  I tried to stay bundled to keep me warm.  Luckily Adam made a fire in the evenings so that warmed me up.,  We drove into Vegas one night went and did some shopping and then went out to eat, with the kids and us there were 8 of us.  We went to a sushi bar which made the kids day...lol  After we ate we went to Fremont St. in Vegas.  There was a light show just starting so we watched it and had perfect timing.  Then we went strolling around watching the performers and looking at the shops. I was so freezing it was starting to be hard for me to drive my chair.  Troy had to actually push me for a while.  It was a good time tho.  We got home at about 10ish and I went straight to bed, I was worn out.
Then it was time for me to meet mom and grandparents. They showed up and I wasnt as nervous as I had been.  They were pretty easy going. I think it helped I had Alyssa (Troys daughter)  there.
Grandma couldnt keep Troy and Adam straight  so they went and had shirts made to help her out...

         

This helped keep the boys straight but then she began confusing Kendra and I, it was pretty comical. Troys like Shawnas the one in the wheelchair..lol  We spent the next few days hanging with the family.  The guys cooked and we all ate then played a game of poker.  Troy was the lucky winner both nights.  It was a good time.
New years eve came and we went out to "The Nugget" a casino there in town. We just went and played some more slots.  I got lucky and turned 20 bucks into $87.00 and cashed out.  Went to where Troy adam and Kendra were, sat there for a few then decided to play my $87.00.  I put it back in the machine and played a while on it.  I played it back to $0.00... But I had fun doing it. Plus I played on $20.00 all night.  When it turned midnight there was a roaring crowd and I got to kiss my man.. It was pretty sweet.  I dont think any of us were even paying attention to the clock its amazing we were even by each other.  We didnt get home til like 2:30ish and we were like little high school kids trying to be quiet sneeking in and chowing down on left over pizza before bed. 
The next day it was time for everyone to leave and we all went out to eat and played a few slots. Of course, you cant go to a casino with out playing a few..lol  They loaded up the moms van and they were off.  We still stayed a day after they left.  We had some down time that day before we had to leave and pack up our things. 
Packing up after a week was a chore itself.  Troy loaded things up while I slept in.  Then I got up and we were ready to go by 9 o'clock.  We said our goodbyes and were on our way.  Another 2 days of driving.  I was not ready to go I really enjoyed it there and cant wait to go back.  So we were on our way.
We drove until Troy was ready to call it quits then got our room and we crashed. Got up early the next day and were back at it until we got home at about 9ish.  Our friends Bob and Jo were at our house waiting to help us unload. Everything was unloaded and it was off to bed...
Our trip was very good.  I loved it there. Troy wasnt ready to go back to work either.  Back to the real world the next day.
